What ages are accepted in the Infant Program?

Our Infant Program is designed for babies from infancy up to approximately 12 months. Children typically transition to the Toddler Program when they are developmentally ready.

Is the Infant Program full-day care?

Yes. Tiny-Shiny Childcare offers full-day infant care, providing families with consistent, reliable child care that aligns with standard work schedules.

How do I join the waitlist or apply for the Infant Program?

Is the Infant Program available at both locations?

No. Tiny-Shiny Childcare currently only offers the Infant Program at the Stayner location. Families are encouraged to contact us to confirm availability.

Is part-time care available in the Infant Program?

At this time, Tiny-Shiny Childcare only offers full-time infant care, Monday to Friday (5 days a week).

At Tiny-Shiny Childcare, we understand how important the first year is for your child’s growth and well-being. Our Infant Program is designed for children from birth up to 12 months, offering a nurturing, developmentally focused experience at our Stayner location.

Full-day Care, Five Days a Week

We provide full-day care, Monday through Friday, ensuring consistency and routine for your baby. Our program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each infant, with individualized daily routines that support feeding, sleeping, and play.

Caring and Qualified Educators

Your child will be supported by our dedicated team of trained early childhood educators. Our staff are passionate about early learning and committed to providing attentive, gentle care to help infants thrive.

Safe and Stimulating Environment

Safety is our top priority. Our infant rooms are designed to be warm, welcoming, and secure, allowing babies to explore and learn in a comfortable space. We follow strict safety protocols to ensure your peace of mind. Teacher-to-child ratio is 1:3.

Developmental Focus

Our program encourages growth in all areas of development: cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. Through play-based activities and responsive care, we foster curiosity and foundational skills that will support your child’s lifelong learning.

Ongoing Communication

We believe open, ongoing communication with parents is essential. You’ll receive daily updates through the LILLIO app about your baby’s routines, milestones, and experiences, helping you stay connected and informed throughout the day.

Hours of Operation

Our Infant Program begins at 7:30 AM each day. To ensure your child enjoys the full benefits of our routines and activities, we ask that children arrive by 9:00 AM, and no later than 10:00 AM. Exceptions may be approved in advance for appointments.

Affordable Infant Care with CWELCC

Tiny-Shiny Childcare is proud to participate in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program, offering affordable care at just $12 per day for infants. We are committed to accessible and high-quality child care for families in Stayner.

Our daughter started daycare when she was 13 months old. It was always tough for us thinking of leaving her with “strangers” but this fear quickly changed. Our daughter took a few short days to get used to going to daycare and has loved every day since. She is now 2.5 years old and still at Tiny Shiny along with her one year old twin brothers - who also took only a few short days to adjust to this new second home! The staff are all absolutely amazing - welcoming, kind and make the days so much fun for our kids! Everyday the kids come home showing off new skills and development.
