Tiny-Shiny Childcare Inc. is owned and operated by an experienced and registered early childhood educator. Our highly qualified early childhood educators supervise and administrate each program. We deliver an innovative, engaging and proven curriculum that ignites a love of learning and inspires and encourages individuality out of every child.
As an energetic and dedicated team, Tiny-Shiny Childcare always makes sure that our children are well fed, safe, receive nurturing and attentive care, and feel at home during their time here.

Our Facility
Our children enjoy the benefit of a large backyard, giving them a chance to explore nature daily. We have a spacious sandbox with a shelter and a paved area used for bikes and scooters. It is here that the children engage in all kinds of gross motor, creative, and dramatic activities. Sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, and other games are encouraged on a daily basis.
Tiny-Shiny Childcare is fully licensed by the Ministry of Education and we strive to exceed our standard to the province’s requirements. The center is routinely inspected by the Health Department, Fire Department and licensing officers from the Ministry of Education. Our staff members and our management team are trained in the Special link Early Childhood Inclusion Quality Scale. This tool helps us to be trained and perform each day with the best intentions for all children.
Meet The Management
Chathurika Tennakoon, RECE
President Chathurika has over 18 years of proven progressive experience with children, including excellent knowledge and understanding of both the Early Child Care and Montessori Method of Teaching. She is extremely thorough with handling children from diverse backgrounds and is able to form trusting relationships with children, which she has excelled at throughout her professional career. Chathurika holds Diplomas for Early Childhood Education and Montessori Method of Education and was nominated to Dean’s list in Loyalist College for academic excellence in her ECE. Chathurika is a registered member of the College of Early Childhood Educators and also possess additional training for teaching methods for all age groups.
